FEBRUARY 2025
Spirit Days: Hero Donut Kits // Feb. 13-14
Pick up a Hero Donut kit on Friday or Saturday to kick off your long weekend! Kits are $20 and include 6 glazed donuts, 3 icings, and 3 toppings. Order before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11. Pick up at HERO Trace Crossings Feb. 13-14 (open 7 a.m.-4 p.m.). Order through our spirit day link.
Spirit Day: Birmingham Bulls Hockey Game // Monday, Feb. 16, 1 p.m.
Purchase tickets to the game with our spirit day link for a portion of the sale to benefit RES. Ticket prices range from $18.75-$25.66. Come cheer on the Bulls in the Battle for Bama against the Huntsville Havoc. The first 1,000 kids to enter get a free school kit. Doors open at noon. Skate with the team after the game ($2 skate rental)!
President's Day: NO SCHOOL // Monday, Feb. 16
Silent Auction // Feb. 23-March 1
Log on all week to bid on everything from gift items to photo shoots to dining gift cards as well as in-school, sports, summer camp, and spa experiences! This online auction is the primary RES fundraiser for the spring semester. Details to come!
Spring Picture Day // Thursday, Feb. 26
Class photos will be taken this day along with spring individual photos.

Spirit Day: Dave & Buster's // Thursday, May 21
Come celebrate the start of summer at Dave & Buster's from 12-3 p.m.! A portion of sales will benefit RES.
PTA-SPONSORED EVENTS
These events are coordinated by PTA each year to support the school financially and as encouraging, community-building efforts.
SPIRIT NIGHTS (throughout the school year)
Eat at these local businesses on the designated days and a portion of sales benefits RES.
SPIRIT WEAR SALES (throughout the school year)
These periodic, short-term sales feature RES merchandise, with proceeds benefiting the school.
TEACHER APPRECIATION (throughout the school year)
The PTA coordinates Teacher Appreciation lunches throughout the year as well as Teacher Appreciation Week in May and provides ongoing encouragement and support to teachers through workroom snacks, classroom supplies, and more.
BOOSTERTHON (September)
This primary fundraiser of the fall typically raises more than $25,000 for special projects and upgrades around the school. The culminating event in 2024 was a Silent Disco dance party for students at the end of the week.
FALL FESTIVAL (October)
Gather the whole family and join us for a fun event at the school. In recent years, this has been a Movie Night. This year, we'll host a Fall Festival with carnival games, food trucks, a video game truck, face painting, and more!
HOLIDAY SHOP (December)
Students have the opportunity to buy small gifts for family and friends in this fun and festive fundraiser.
SILENT AUCTION (February/March)
This primary fundraiser for the spring offers dozens of items and experiences for sale using an online silent auction platform. Support RES and get a little something – or a big something – for yourself while you're at it.
